When it comes to the safest toys for kids, we’ve done our homework.
Bringing good clean fun since 2005.
Hazelnut Kids was founded along the shores of Lake Michigan, where fresh water is plentiful and nature is our playground. It’s also a place where natural play and environmental stewardship are part of everyday life.
Though my children have since grown out of playing with toys, I own and operate Hazelnut Kids with the same guiding inspiration as when they were little. (And you can be sure I’ve got several of their wooden toy favorites stashed away for the next generation!)
I’m dedicated to finding the safest toys that aren’t only beautiful and creative but also manufactured in a way that puts the health of kids and the environment first.
This means that while you shop, you can rest assured knowing that the imaginative toys you’re bringing into your home have been sourced from trusted companies that are the leaders in sharing these values.
And it doesn’t stop there…
- Your items will arrive in packages that are fully recyclable and when possible, they may even come directly from the manufacturer, skipping an extra step of shipping.
- If you choose gift wrapping for that special something you’re sending to a loved one, I’ll wrap it up in recycled (and recyclable) paper that’s been brightly decorated with non-toxic ink.
I’m Tracy – The Business-Owning Mom Who Cares
When it comes to buying natural toys, I know you’ve got options. There are the bigger natural toy companies with flashy social media accounts and videos and everything else. (And we ALL know about Amazon…)
But it’s important for you to know that when you buy from Hazelnut Kids, you’re supporting the small business of a midwest Mom who gives it her all to bring you the very best in customer care and service.
I’m the person who researched carrying that Grimm’s wooden rainbow before it was cool, and who accepts deliveries of Plan Toys inventory. I’m also the one who receives your order of that Sigikid organic stuffed animal and packages it up with care. And if there’s an issue along the way, I’ll be the one on the other end of the line, making sure it’s resolved without question.
Over the years, I’ve grown strong relationships with some of the best natural toy makers in the world, and I’ll never stop exploring new unique products, either. If you’re a small, independent maker of natural or organic toys for kids, I’d love to learn about your products, too.
And at the end of the year, I funnel part of my profits into organizations trying to better the earth — rather than use it to fly in a spaceship away from it.
If you ever have questions about any of our wooden and organic toys, I’d be happy to help. You know where to find me!
